The Ashmolean Museum

Oxford's Ashmolean can trace it's history back to 1620 and is known as Britain's first museum. It has recently undergone a major refurbishment and is a beautiful setting for its impressive collection of art and antiquities. You can see everything from early musical instruments to samurai armour. There is currently an exhibition of Pre-Raphaelite painting, which goes on until December.
