Muybridge at Tate Britain

In 1877 Eadweard Muybridge got a horse and rider to gallop across a bank of cameras which were triggered by the horses hooves. He not only proved that horses lift all four hooves off the ground, but he also took the first steps in developing cinema and film as we know it. Entry is £8.50 for students (includes entry to Rachel Whiteread exhibition). More details are on the Tate Britain website
