For 37 years Forkbeard Fanatasy have been producing innovative and magical theatre. Their shows combine live actors with mechanical gizmos, film and animation and appeal to all ages. Despite this, they lost their Arts Council funding earlier this year, as a result of cuts to the arts. They are currently appearing on stage, for what is probably the last time, at The Festival Hall on the Southbank.
As part of this show, they are exhibiting many of their large-scale puppets, props, peepshow boxes and films on the ground floor of the Festival Hall. 'Theatre of Animation' is free to enter from 10am to 1pm everyday until 8th January.
