Anyone who was a child in the 60's (as I was) will remember Gerry Anderson with great affection. He died yesterday aged 83. He was one of the greatest exponents of puppetry as an artform. Even back in the 60's Thunderbird puppets looked a little handmade and naive, but the plots were exciting and his vision of the future was full of fantastic machines and gadgets.
If you have never seen a Gerry Anderson animation then I'm sure there will be lots of tributes to him over the coming months. Read more about him here.
